Puppy Training at Delightful Dog Days

Welcoming a new puppy is an exciting journey and a big responsibility. At Delightful Dog Days, our puppy training options are designed to support you and your pup from day one. Whether you want to prepare before your puppy arrives, strengthen the basics at home, or take your skills to the next level, we provide gentle, positive, and practical guidance to help you build confidence, teach essential skills, and create a lifelong bond with your furry friend.

These courses are designed for puppies aged 8 weeks to 6 months.

  • Excited about bringing a new puppy home? Our pre-puppy meeting is the perfect way to start this adventure with confidence and peace of mind.

    During the session, we cover the essentials of crate training, toilet training, and teething, sharing practical tips and guidance to help you get things off to the best possible start. This meeting is ideal for puppy parents who want to feel prepared before formal training begins.

    You will leave feeling informed, confident, and ready to give your new puppy a happy, healthy, and joyful start in their forever home.

    This is a 1 hour long session at £25 per hour.

  • These sessions are designed for puppies who are already settling into their new homes.

    Throughout the course, we cover essential topics such as dog body language, learning theory, and practical training concepts. You and your puppy will also explore important skills like confidence building, optimism, engagement, proximity awareness, and management.

    By learning these foundations, your puppy will develop skills including reliable recall, loose-leash walking, proper socialisation, and more, while strengthening the bond between you.

    The course includes six sessions for £240, with detailed handouts provided to support your learning at home.

  • This course is designed for puppy parents who want to build on their existing skills and take their training to the next level.

    Over eight weeks, you will learn essential concepts and put them into practice with real dogs in a variety of everyday situations. You will be guided every step of the way to ensure you feel confident and supported.

    The course includes eight sessions for £320 and comes with detailed handouts to help you continue your learning at home.

The Teenage Phase

The teenage phase can be one of the most challenging times in your dog’s life, but it is also one of the most important for setting them up for long term success. Our Adolescent Dog Courses are designed to help you and your dog navigate this stage with patience, understanding, and positive reinforcement.

You will learn how to support your dog through this developmental period while improving their focus, impulse control, recall, and loose lead walking. We will also look at how hormones, frustration, and emotions can influence behaviour and how to manage them effectively with calm, confidence-building strategies.

Both courses include real-life training and plenty of guided practice to help you feel confident applying what you learn in everyday situations.

  • The six-week course, priced at £240. is perfect for owners who have already trained with Delightful Dog Days or have a good foundation in force free training methods.

    Across the sessions, we will explore how your dog’s brain is developing and how hormones can impact their behaviour, giving you a deeper understanding of the changes happening during adolescence.

    We will also work on strengthening key skills such as recall, loose lead walking, and engagement around distractions. You and your dog will focus on building confidence and optimism through fun, structured exercises, improving impulse control and focus during play and on walks, and developing calmness and relaxation around other dogs and people.

    Any mild behaviour challenges such as jumping up or pulling will also be addressed.

    Detailed handouts are provided after each session to support continued practise at home and help maintain progress between sessions.

  • The eight-week course, priced at £320, is ideal for new clients or those looking for extra support and practice in building their dog’s skills and confidence.

    Over the sessions, we will cover everything in the six-week course, while placing additional focus on understanding your dog’s body language and emotions. You will also learn the foundations of cooperative care, helping your dog feel relaxed during grooming, vet visits, and handling.

    The course provides tailored guidance for common adolescent challenges such as recall regression, overexcitement, and attention-seeking behaviours, alongside real-life practice in new environments to strengthen reliability and confidence.

    You and your dog will continue to work on recall, loose lead walking, engagement, confidence, and impulse control, while also tackling individual goals at a gentler pace.

    Detailed handouts are included to support continued practise at home and help maintain progress between sessions.

For your complex training needs

Here you will find packages that are designed to help you and your dog with any complex behavioural needs. An initial consultation, which is £55, will first need to be booked in and carried out. Next, a training plan will be created and sent to you.

If you are happy to go ahead, you can pick from the following packages to begin your training journey!

  • These sessions are designed for those who do not want to pre-pay for the sessions in their training plan.

    These sessions are £55 per hour.

    A non-refundable £15 booking deposit will need to be paid to secure the booking and cannot be moved if the session is cancelled 12 hours before the session is scheduled to begin.

  • These sessions are £100 all together. This includes handouts, video tutorials and Whatsapp support.

    Sessions can be rescheduled twice at no extra charge.

  • These sessions are £195 all together. This includes handouts, video tutorials and Whatsapp support.

    Sessions can be rescheduled twice at no extra charge.

  • These sessions are £275 all together. This includes handouts, video tutorials and Whatsapp support.

    Sessions can be rescheduled three times at no extra charge.

  • These sessions are £320 all together. This includes handouts, video tutorials and Whatsapp support.
