About Delightful Dog Days

At Delightful Dog Days, we believe every dog deserves to be understood, supported and cared for as an individual. Our small, experienced team provides professional training, walking, pet sitting and grooming services, all tailored to the needs of each animal and their family.

We take the time to understand the animal in front of us, building trusting relationships and providing thoughtful, reliable care. Whether we are helping with training, heading out for a walk or caring for a pet at home, their comfort, wellbeing and happiness always come first.

Meet Louise

Louise, Founder, Dog Trainer, Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Louise, the founder of Delightful Dog Days. I have always been passionate about animals and fascinated by the reasons behind their behaviour. In 2018, I graduated with First Class Honours in BSc Animal Behaviour, Training and Welfare. Since then, I have gained experience across the animal care industry, including working with rescue organisations, veterinary clinics and boarding facilities.

My journey into dog training and behaviour was inspired by my own dogs: Queenie, Sasha, and Willow. Queenie, my Romanian rescue dog, first sparked my interest in understanding canine behaviour. As Sasha and Willow became part of my life, they taught me even more about how differently dogs can experience and respond to the world around them.

Their individual personalities, genetics, motivations and life experiences have all influenced their behaviour and the training methods that work best for them. Living and learning with three very different dogs helped me recognise that there is no single method that will suit every dog. This ultimately inspired me to create the W.O.L.F Approach.

Through the W.O.L.F Approach, I consider each dog’s wellbeing, opportunities, learning and fulfilment. My aim is to help owners understand the dog in front of them and use kind, clear and practical guidance that meets their individual needs. By combining reinforcement, appropriate boundaries, thoughtful management and relationship-led training, we can build clearer communication, greater confidence and a stronger bond between dogs and their families.

I believe our pets are part of the family. They bring laughter, companionship and comfort into our lives, and they deserve care that reflects just how important they are to us. That belief sits at the heart of Delightful Dog Days and our goal to make the days with your dog delightful.

Charlie

Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Charlie! I joined the Delightful Dog Days team in March 2024. I hold a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Management, along with certifications covering animal health, husbandry, walking and handling, and behaviour.

I have more than five years of professional experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to know that your pet is with someone you can trust. I take the time to get to know every dog and make sure their walks and visits are safe, enjoyable and suited to their individual needs.

I also have a background in dog grooming and am always happy to help with any grooming-related questions you may have.

Emma

Team Leader, Dog Groomer, Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Emma! I joined the Delightful Dog Days team in November 2025 and have more than 15 years of experience working with dogs.

I hold Animal Care NVQ qualifications at Levels 1 and 2, as well as dog grooming qualifications from Level 1 through to Diploma Level 3. I provide a range of grooming services, from bathing and everyday coat care to breed-standard trims.

At home, I have a rescue dog called Red, who is my sidekick and best friend, as well as two pet ferrets. I know how important our animals are to us, and I look forward to meeting your pets and providing them with the thoughtful, dependable care they deserve.

Maisy

Animal Carer, Dog Walker and Dog Trainer

Hi, I’m Maisy, and I joined the Delightful Dog Days Team in July 2026! My experience with animals began with cats and horses, and my interest in animal behaviour continued to grow after completing an equine behaviour and psychology course in 2019.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training and have experience caring for and working with a wide variety of animals, including dogs, horses, frogs, cows and other farm animals. I have also supported animal charities, which has given me valuable experience with animals from a range of different backgrounds.

I have two dogs of my own: Skye, a Border Collie who joined me in 2020, and Eve, a Romanian rescue dog who joined the family in 2022. Both have helped me develop my understanding of individual behaviour, training and the importance of adapting care to the animal in front of you.

I am passionate about helping animals feel safe, supported and understood. I aim to provide thoughtful, compassionate training and care that suits the needs of both the animal and their owner.
